First U.S. DEVELON DX400 Arrives at Patriot Park
DEVELON and dealer Equipment East delivered one of the first DX400 excavators in the country to the Patriot Park jobsite for a 7-day trial run by IR Campbell.
Before it was available to most contractors in the country, the DX400LC-9 was on the Patriot Park jobsite. DEVELON unveiled the -9 Series, its next-generation excavator platform, at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in March, and dealer Equipment East picked IR Campbell to run one of the first units in the Northeast through a week-long trial at Patriot Park, putting the machine to work instead of just showing it off.
“You learn more about a machine in a week of real grading and trenching than in any spec sheet. That's the only way we test new equipment.”
The trial ran the DX400LC-9 through standard excavation and trenching work at Patriot Park alongside the rest of the IR Campbell fleet, giving the crew a full week to put its electronic-hydraulic system through its paces before it headed back to Equipment East.
